Reflection #1

Last week I came back from holidays in Bali. The trip was pretty long and exhausting. First we drove to Berlin then flew to Singapore and then to Denpasar.
As we passed all there countries it struck me how far less diverse is Poland in terms of nationalities and people when compared to for example Germany. It is kind of incredible for me to see so many faces from all around the world in just one place. In Berlin the taxi driver is Turkish, the waiter is Polish and the tour guide could be British. If you look at Poland on the other hand, people are still wierded out when they see a black or an Arab person in the bus. It's not that I'm criticising Poles; I understand why our country is so far behind west Europe or Asia in this diversity tolerance matter. It is just amazing and kind of eye-opening for me that all these people can live in one place and even get on with each other without problem.

Sorry for the big big big delay!

Is 600£ per Night at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel a Good Value for Money?

600 pounds is certainly a lot of money but I think that whether this price is acceptable or not depends on the perspective.
If a billionaire who can easily afford everything that comes to his mind wants to stay there then why not? When booking a room at the Mandarin Hotel he'll be sure that he gets highest quality service and that he won't have to worry about anything. On the other side if 600£ is half of someone's salary then this person would be crazy to spend it in one night.
As I said earlier our view on money is relative and it's impossible to decide for all people if a thing is good value for money or worth the cost or not.

Why Do So Many People Still Believe in Supernatural Things?

In the year 2018 I wouldn't think that people still believe in supernatural things but apparently they do and there are various reasons that cause it.
First of all, where science fails paranormal reasons step in. People tend to try and explain everything and if it's not possible with reasonable arguments they turn to supernatural interpretations. The belief in higher entities that rule our lives gives people sense of security and a feeling of being loved. People in need turn to God because He always listens to their problems and regardless of mistakes the made - He forgives them.
To sum up, there are countless causes that make people believe in supernatural things even in XXI century.

Is Sense of Humour Important in our Life?

I think that sense of humour plays a major, positive role in our lives. It connects people -even strangers- and makes any conversation more relaxed and friendly. It is natural that funny people are considered more attractive and charming. Without sense of humour people may think of us as grumpy and generally repulsive. Laughing also helps dealing with stressful and unpleasant situations - who doesnt like to brighten up their mood with a comedy film? Furthermore, scientists discovered that laughing is actually very healthy and thanks to it people live longer!
That proves that sense of humour is very important and almost essential in our daily life.
